The Story of QPR project has produced; R’Story – an hour long documentary, short films & recorded oral histories, a podcast and music track to sit alongside accompanying heritage materials including learning resources for schools and youth organisations.
The project also delivered a memorabilia event called ‘What’s in your Loft?’ – an ‘Antiques Road Show’ type event that fans attended at QPR, where they brought memorabilia, and were interviewed about their memories of QPR and the surrounding area.
38 volunteers were involved in the Story of QPR, attending 18 months of workshops, sessions, shoots, meetings and events. Below are some of the images we captured during this time.
With the support of a professional music producer, three of the project volunteers created a bespoke music track, the lyrics of which chart the story of the project, capture some of the history of the area, and explore the power of football through the eyes of a young player. Drawing on historical research, as well as their own experiences, the track is a snapshot of the breadth of the project and features in the credits of R’Story.
